RSS Centenary Celebrations: “Sangathan Gadhe Chalo” Echoes Across Lucknow as 108 Path Sanchalans Held

Lucknow: The capital city resonated with the stirring song “Sangathan sangathan gadhe chalo, supanth par badhe chalo… Bhala ho jisme desh ka, wo kaam sab kiye chalo” as thousands of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers took part in large-scale Path Sanchalan (route marches) on Sunday. The marches were organised at the basti (local) level as part of the RSS centenary year celebrations, marking 100 years of the organisation’s service journey.

In the Lucknow department alone, Path Sanchalan was conducted at 108 locations, drawing impressive participation from swayamsevaks of all age groups. The disciplined formations showcased unity, nationalism, and organisational strength, leaving a powerful impression on the public.

Senior RSS functionaries from the province and regional levels guided the volunteers across multiple bastis. Anil, the Pracharak of Eastern UP Region, attended the march in Chandrashekhar Basti, Ramnagar (Lucknow West). Addressing the swayamsevaks, he urged them to take the message of “Panch Parivartan” (Five Transformations) to society.

He said, “The Sangh is synonymous with patriotism and national commitment. Despite facing pain and persecution over decades, swayamsevaks never abandoned service to the nation. The centenary year marks deeper connection with society. The Sangh has completed 100 years through service, discipline, and dedication.”

The programme was presided over by Mahant Ramakant Das, with key dignitaries including Lucknow West Bhag Sanghchalak Gurumilan, Vibhag Pracharak Anil, and Bhag Pracharak Manoj in attendance.

After the march, Manoj, Eastern UP Regional Sampark Pramukh, called upon volunteers to work actively on Panch Parivartan. He said, “RSS has become the world’s largest organisation, and therefore curiosity about the Sangh has increased in society.”

Prominent attendees included Dr. Umesh (Head, Vishva Samvad Kendra), Office Head Shani Singh, Praantiya Prachar Toli members Bṛjnandan Raju, Vijay Vishwakarma, Ravi Jayaswal, and several Nagar-level office bearers. A large number of swayamsevaks were present.
